The place we stayed in wasn't that quiet
Itinerary Overview
The first time I ever visited Europe, I went to Madrid, my dad studied there when he was young and he fell in love with the city, no wonder why, Madrid is wonderful.
We travelled on April the 20th, and we arrived at 12:30pm, It was a 9 hours flight!, But once we got there, to the Barajas airport we knew this was going to be a trip to remember. The airport had an amazing structure on the roof and it was filled with people from all over the world! Also the workers of the airport were really kind and always ready to help. We decided to go the apartment we were staying at, so we took the metro to the Nueva Numancia station. Once there, Antonio, the owner of the apartment guided us, we had to walk a few blocks from the station to the building. The neighborhood has a park and we were right on time because that week there was a book festival nearby! The week before our trip, it snowed in Madrid, the citizens were amazed, It never snows in Madrid, but the week we stayed, the weather was just perfect, sunny days, and nice breeze.
If you like to walk, Madrid is just for you! We walked every single day, we went to the Gran Vía, La puerta del sol, La Puerta de Alcalá, El rastro and a lot of other places.
In terms of food, we tried as much typical food as we could, we tried the Tapas at the Mercado de San Miguel, and the famous Paella in La plaza central, The paella was enormous but delicious, and there were different types of Paella, The original with Seafood, or the vegetarian.
The thing I liked the most about Madrid is that it's all about the little things, you can walk or take the metro, but there’s something special wherever you go, a plaza, a monument, a park, there’s always some magic in Madrid.

Av. de Concha Espina, 1 A must for football fans
We had the opportunity to visit the stadium in a tour and in a match, and both of them were great. The experience at the match was really good, but to be honest it depends on who's playing of course, and that is pretty much it. However the visit to the museum was really interesting, it doesn’t matter if you’re not into football, it’s really entertaining, you can tell that the way they present the story of the team and the trophies is well planned, so I don't think you’ll get bored, and you can get some nice souvenirs for your family and friends

Calle de Martín de los Heros, 11 A movie coffee house
If you’re a film lover, this is a total must! There is a library called “8 y ½ libros de cine” located in the Martín de los Heros, 11, Madrid and it’s the most recognized film themed book store in all the city! The place is just beautiful and it's filled with hundreds and hundreds of books about movies, biographies, scripts, and essays related to the audiovisual world. If you’re learning or you are just a fan of the seventh art you will love spending an afternoon there, you can have a coffee, take a seat and read a book, or maybe just hang with someone. The place is really good looking, with posters and stuff, and it’s totally recommended.

28009 Madrid a calmed afternoon
Our stay in Madrid was amazing, every single day we woke up early to visit the museums, go shopping, go on a tour and a lot of other things we had planned, We visited every touristic spot but the last day of our trip we decided to have a calmed day, everything was ready to leave but we had some time so we decided to go to the “Parque el retiro” To be honest, it’s nothing but a park, but I had the best time there, the park has a really big garden filled with big threes and beautiful flowers, everything is clean and well preserved, and there is a big monument to Alfonso XII surrounded by a pond were you can rent a boat and row your way through the water. It was a sunny day, so after the boat ride, we bought an Ice cream and we stayed there, it was so calmed and peaceful to look at the clouds, the flowers, or a squirrel or a duck that passed by.
