Itinerary Overview
Early saturday morning, we gathered the cars with my family and drove together to the Stechelberg, where we left our cars at the Schilthornbahn. We arrived there around 8am and took the cable car to Mürren. It's better to go as early as possible to avoid traffic and crowd. In Mürren, we started our hike. Mürren is a really cute town, with almost no cars. There are many nice bakeries where you could stop to have your coffee and breakfast before starting the hike.
Anyway, we started to hike in direction of the lake Grauseewli, there are parts that are quite steep and it can be a bit mudy, specially if it rained the days before, so you need to have proper hiking boots. The landscapes are just incredible, it's very green and you are surrounded by mountains. We met a lot of cows as well. We arrived at the lake around 11am, and had a little "apéro break" there, with some white wine, chips, dry meat and crackers. After that, we continued in direction of the Schilthorn. The last part to get there, is quite steep and dizzying. It's better not to have the fear of heights. So we arrived at the top for lunch break, we were lucky that two tables were free for us at the restaurant. It was really really really crowded. This is actually a turning restaurant, so during your lunch you can have the view on all directions, this is cool. Also, this restaurant is very famous because the 6th James Bond has been shot there. So when you are at the top, there are different lookout points where you can go to have a nice view and there is even a James Bond museum which is free.
After some time spent there, we went down again in direction of the Schilthornhütte, where we booked our night. The hike to go there is not very long, like 2 hours maximum. The hut was really nice and the managers were the cutest. However, there is no hot water, be warned. But this is like this in most of the mountain huts. As we were there during Covid time and were actually 13 people together, no other people than us were eating and sleeping at the hut, that was pretty cool! We played some cards and other games, and the managers cooked for us a very good and full meal: Barley soupe, mixed salad, pasta gratin and tiramisu for the dessert. Yummy! Vegetarian option possible if you ask them when you book the night.
The next morning, we paid everything and hiked down to Mürren, where we took the cable car down to the parking lot. My family left and I went to Lauterbrunnen for a visit of the town. The town is as well very very famous and crowed, so it's better to go early morning as well. I spent the night at the camping Jungfrau which has an amazing view of the Lauterbrunnen famous waterfall. The camping is quite big and has all the facilities.
The next morning, I headed to Grindelwald and took the funicular to Kleine Scheidegg. From there, I hiked to the glacier of Eiger (Eigergletscher) and took the Eiger trail to hike down to Alpiglen. This trail is just amazing and really easy, accessible to everyone, even children! All the way down, you have this huge Eiger mountain dominating you, it's incredible! I could see the Schilthorn and it looked very small compared to the past day. When I arrived to Alpiglen, I took the funicular back to the parking lot.

Q & A
What would you have changed?
At the Piz Gloria, top of the Schilthorn, we all decided to have the buffet for lunch, but we were all a bit disappointed. Indeed, the quality was very poor for the price we paid. Also, the waiters were really in hurry for us to choose what we wanted to eat and for us to pay and leave as soon as we were finished. I guess they cannot have a table which is occupied for two hours, they just need to have as many people as possible. This was not a good experience for us. Maybe if we had chosen a meal "à la carte", it would have been better already.Packing tips?

The Schilthornhütte needs to be booked in advance for sure! For the camping, it's better as well, specially if it's high season.
