Trip Report
My Ethiopia vacation: Discovering the wonders of Bahir Dar, Addis Ababa, Lalibela , and Simien National Park.
2 weeks vacation seeing the most beautiful sites in Ethiopia, its culture, religion, food, locals, and the magic that goes with it all.
Highs & Lows
Lalibela underground church was something out of the world. The Axoum site was also mesmerising.
The organized tour seems to increase inequalities between tourists and locals.

Lalibela, a medieval village situated at an altitude of 2,600 m, is home to an impressive wealth of historical sites included in the UNESCO List of World Cultural Heritage Sites. The eleven churches of Lalibela are living places of worship of indescribable beauty.
We were so excited about to know these places! Even if it was not on our list of places to know, so it was our first stop in Ethiopia.
The city looks like a modern place, with a lot of contrast and economic activities all around
We Visit the National Museum, which houses the famous 'Lucy', the nickname given to this Australopithecus ( fossil skeleton of a human ancestor) who lived some 3.2 million years ago.
Also, the Mercato, (one of the biggest in Africa). You can find all kinds of products on the street.
The local recommendation is to not to bring expensive things with you as you shop.
To discover this fascinating city and its steles whose builders are said to be a little-known civilization of antiquity was an extraordinary experience.
Our intentions were to see some archeological treasure that belongs to this place
some ruins, museums, and stone scripts show us how wonderful and magic this place is
our tour star in the Aksum museum, a place full of history and close to this place the church which was the first one builder in Africa.
If you are a lover of history, this is a must in your list
In 2 days you can discover so many things!!
