Itinerary Overview
Mexico is everything everyone says it is and even more. During February we decided to travel to this unique destination. We discussed for a long while which were the destinations we would choose since we only had time for a short trip. After looking at different destinations we chose 2 very different spots: Mexico City and Cancun. We could have both worlds by choosing these destinations. In DF we would be in a metropolis and in Cancun we would be in nature resting. From Mexico in general I can say that it is a Country that will never fail to amaze you. The people in both places we visited are kind and welcoming. What really stands out for me in both destinations apart from its people is how there is culture in every corner. I recommend Mexico as a great destination for any type of tourist since it offers so many diverse plans to discover this magical country. Hopefully I will return soon to discover new spots in the country.
After staying in the amazing city Mexico City, we decided we wanted to go to a less metropolitan destination and wanted to go to the beach. Cancun to be a magical place, it really seems to be out of a movie. When I got there I imagined Cancun would be only a party place. Turns out Cancun is not only one of the best places in the world to party, this city has so much more to offer for tourists. We started off the trip by having a relaxing couple of cocktails on the beach. The sea in this city is amazing. Its color is impossible to describe. You must see it yourself to understand its beauty. We spend the next afternoon in Playa Mujeres, which is a place full of life where both locals and tourists share the happiness and energy this place gives off. Obviously we had to see the nightlife of Cancun ourselves and all I can say is wow!
Mexico city is the perfect combination between modern and classic. When we arrived I was amazed by the architecture in this city. There were many big buildings and streets which made me feel like a metropolis. This city has specific zones which take you back in time and others that will take you forward that's what makes it so unique. Food in this city is another level, the amount of flavor in every dish we tried was incredible. We took a tour in bicycles around the city and I believe this is a great way to get around and get to know the city. The only bad thing about Mexico City is its traffic. That's why you need to take this into account before visiting its many places. This city has a great amount of culture, there is good food, good art, good music and good people. Overall we absolutely fell in love with Mexico City.
