Itinerary Overview
Hel Peninsula is great if you're into water sports. There are some amazing kite surfing and surfing spots near Chalupy. It's also heaven for bicycle lovers, there are bike lanes along the peninsula that lead you right near the shore. If you can, try to avoid coming with a car and opt out for a train instead. The peninsula is not too wide and the roads can get a bit busy. So if you don't want to get stuck in traffic, hop on a train and enjoy the ride!
Jastarnia Indulge in a Relaxing Walk Along the Scenic Beach: Journey from Jastarnia to Chalupy and Discover Hidden Gems
Jastarnia is one of the towns on the Hel Peninsula in Poland. It's surrounded by lovely forests and even more stunning beaches with beautiful, white sand. I also strongly recommend this place if you're into cycling. There's an excellent infrastructure and an absolutely stunning bike lane that goes all the way through Hel Peninsula - there's forest on one side and the beach on the other. Amazing!
Hel The furthest town on the Peninsula, look it up on the map
We took a boat from Jastarnia to Hel. It took us about 50minutes on the boat and it was a very nice experience. We had lunch in Hel and wonder around the town before heading back to Jastarnia. On the way back we opted for a train. It takes about 20mins on the train and the ticket is around 2EUR. Hel is a typical tourist town so there are plenty of cafes and restaurants, and shops to but your souvenirs. Of course, there's also a nice beach if you fancy a dip in the water.
Chałupy Took a long walk on the beach and ended up in Chalupy
We wanted to take a long walk on the beach and ended up walking all the way from Jastarnia to Chalupy. It was amazing but it's a long walk so check out the distance before you decide to do the same. You could stop in Kuznice (which is half way between Chalupy and Jastarnia) and catch a train there. Chalupy is a great place if you're into water sports. You will find a great infrastructure here, you can rent a kite or a surfboard, and arrange a private class if you're still learning or want to learn.

Definitely bring a warmer jacket even if you go in the middle of summer. The wind on Hel Peninsula can make it a bit chilly, especially in the evenings.Transportation Tips?
We took a train from Warsaw to Jastarnia. It was a direct train and it takes about 5hours to get there. The train stops in Gdansk so you could visit it on the way (which, I highly recommend as it is a beautiful city). When it comes to Hel Peninsula, there are plenty of trains between all of the towns, they run about every half an hour and they cost pennies.
