Highs & Lows
Lago Puelo National Park is certainly a favorite in Argentina
We had a little bit headache from the elevation and sun in the salt desert.
Itinerary Overview
We rented a car in Salta, and planned to see the Seven Colors Mountain and Fourteen Colors Mountain. We drove north in the morning to Jujuy and drove until Tilcara. We slept in a family hostel. It’s very common in the restaurants to have live music and meat but we go for vegetarian food and enjoyed the music. We did one day to the fourteen colors mountain and back to Tilcara. The next day we went south to seven colors mountain then to the salt desert. It’s a very beautiful place- from another world. The mountains in this region are full of colors, cacti, and peace.
A really an amazing experience to see the colors of these mountains.
Lago puelo- yoga, hippies and water. It's the hippies' village in Argentina. It’s a lovely place, full of water, love, yoga and music.
We took a bus from Bariloche- around 3 hours. We came to a yoga farm called- Rey Sol Reina Luna a magical place run by a woman from Italy and Israel- a lot of animals- 2 minutes walking to the river and 30 minutes to a large lake. Every morning we took a yoga class. We had the time of our life. We had planned only three nights and we ended up staying there for one whole month. I highly recommend going trekking in the mountains nearby- very close to El Bolson. It’s called Cajon de Azul which is green-blue water, full of nature, peace, and cold water to swim in. Just go!
