I had landed in Sydney at about 4 pm in the evening. it was a slightly chilly. My friend came to pick me up all the way from Canberra. I was excited. Sydney has always been one of my dream destinations and yet i decided to not read about it online and rather just explore and discover on my own. As i was walking down the road towards the darling harbour i noticed how the road has been blocked for vehicles . i didn't think much of it, could just be designed that way you know? as i walked further i noticed some of the buildings were beautifully lit with colourful lights and changing patterns. I was quite intrigued by what i was seeing. It could be considered one of the best decisions of my life as i was surprised by what i discovered. i had accidentally stumbled upon Australias greatest festival, vivid Sydeny. As time passed, the surroundings lit up more and more, the crowd grew bigger, food stalls were packed and it smelled like steak and sea breeze. It was unlike anything i had witnessed. I still didn't exactly know what was happening but i was enjoying it. i took walked until i started noticing the Sydney harbour bridge was lit up in bright lights and i could hear music playing. Like the name suggests it was pretty vivid. there were a lot of innovative sculptures put up and i noticed a giant blue puppet walk across the street. i still didn't know what was going on but i had fun, day one successfully spent.

Day 2 : i decided to visit the infamous Bondi beach and i would like to add it was worth everything. One of the most beautiful beaches that i have visited. the beach being a crescent shape cuts off from the busy streets. I beach was nearly empty except for a few surfers (since it was winter, you know its the south ) i sat down initially intending to only spend 15 mins but ended up sitting there for a few hours. The calming effects of the beach hypnotised me. Only my much love for food was able to break the bond. Explains why it's called Bond-i. i walked onto the streets and noticed a lot of sea food places lined across the opposite side of the road. one particular place caught my eye, or should i say my nose. The place smell amazing much contrasting for a place that sells freshly caught sea food. i went in and immediately saw a lobster. i knew thats what i wanted to it. My dad always used to talk about the butter garlic lobster he had during his college days in the US. i requested the shopkeeper to make it in butter garlic sauce and finally understood what my dad was on about. The fresh lobster melt in my mouth like candy. I must say, Sydney does have a pretty exotic cuisine. I walked around the streets of Bondi the architecture seemed pretty unique compared to the rest of the city as most building were white in colour. later on i decided to take a dip in the ocean it was pretty risky as the waves were strong i suggest to remain as close to the shore as possible. After drying off a little i ended up exploring the food even more and to my surprised i wasn't disappointed. In the late evening i ended up going to vivid Sydney again. This time i took a ferry to witness the famous Opera house glow in the beautiful night sky. Unfortunately i couldn't go inside as there was a concert happening and was house full.

day 3: packed up my bags and got into my friends car it was time to go. Sydney was surprising as is, i wondered how the rest of my road trip would go. I can tell you now that it won't be disappointing.
