Rainny season and bad roads

Itinerary Overview

We arrive in Lima and decide to stay there for a couple of days until our next destination.  The idea was to go to the jungle so we took the night bus and after  a few hours, we arrived!

After a long adventure by road but in really comfortable buses we arrived to san ramon, in the central jungle of peru.

A place full of green and with a lot of things to see.

It is called the central jungle, however, its vegetation is not as wild as other jungles.

Its main attraction is its landscapes, mountains, rivers, and waterfalls that make this place a paradise.

The great majority of tourists are from Peru, so in general, prices in markets and restaurants  are very comfortable and there is a lot of cultural exchange.

We arrived at an indigenous community in the jungle area.

They are very well organized to show tourists their traditions, typical costumes, and ancestral knowledge.

As soon as we arrived, they took out their costumes and painted our faces.

The cultural tour lasts half an hour. They dance and explain their way of life.

In the end, there is a space for questions, and they have for sale their crafts as a way to generate resources.

It is a very satisfying experience
