Arrive in Casablanca where you will be met at the airport. Casablanca is Morocco’s largest city located on the Atlantic Ocean.

Before you embark on your Moroccan adventure, your Senior Expedition Leader will share a detailed pre-departure briefing, designed to deepen your understanding and connection to the culture and history you'll encounter, followed by a memorable welcome dinner at Rick's Café.

In the morning before departing to Fes, journey through Morocco's rich past, starting from Casablanca's grand  Explore Meknes' architectural wonders and marvel at the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Savor a delicious feast in Fes before settling into your luxurious Riad, Palais Amani.

The next day, embark on a cultural deep dive through Fes' ramparts and bustling local markets. Uncover the city's history with visits to a 14th-century Madrassa, a converted palace museum, and a 17th-century Synagogue. Immerse yourself in the city's renowned cuisine and explore the rich tapestry of Fes' heritage.

Take a scenic journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains, encountering Berber villages and charming towns like Ifrane and Azrou. Enjoy birdwatching opportunities at Lake Dait Aoua and connect with local Berber communities. Unwind and experience Moroccan hospitality at Taddart Hotel in Midelt.

Embark on a breathtaking journey through the High Atlas Mountains, witnessing majestic peaks and traditional villages. Explore the dramatic Ziz Valley, capturing photos of fortified villages and lush oases. Arrive at the Merzouga dunes, where a thrilling camel ride awaits you at sunset. Settle into the exclusive Deluxe Bedouin Camp, offering a luxurious desert experience.

The next morning, witness the mesmerizing Sahara sunrise and capture its beauty through photography.

Explore the dunes with a Berber guide, connecting with semi-nomadic families and learning about their way of life. Savor a traditional lunch with a local family before venturing further into the desert by 4x4. Return to the luxurious camp for a candlelit dinner under the stars, accompanied by traditional music.

Travel to the dramatic Sarhro Mountains, searching for ancient fossils amidst the rugged landscape. Enjoy a delicious lunch in Nekob before entering the lush Draa Valley, renowned for its date plantations and diverse agriculture. Today we head towards the captivating landscapes of the Draa Valley and the Skoura Valley.   Imagine  driving through breathtaking mountain vistas and geological wonders.

Ouarzazate awaits – Explore authentic  Berber artifacts and delve into the world of traditional herbal remedies.  Afterward, enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch.

Next, we'll continue on to the luxurious Kasbah El Kabbaba.  Here,  Moroccan hospitality reigns supreme, and every moment is an invitation to pure relaxation.  

The next day, we will immerse in the historical beauty and architectural splendor of Kasbah Amridil, a well-preserved testament to the region's rich past. Embrace the warmth of Moroccan hospitality with a cooking class led by a charming local family. Learn the secrets to traditional food preparation and savor a delightful lunch. A personal touch to the cultural exchange by participating in the art of henna painting. Reflect on the day's unique experiences and learnings as we return to Kasbah El Kabbaba for another exquisite dinner.

Journey through the awe-inspiring High Atlas Mountains, beginning with a visit to Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and historic caravan point. Traverse the dramatic Tizi N'Tichka Pass, reaching a height of 7,000 feet before descending into scenic plains. Witness the landscape transform from towering mountains to verdant gorges as we descend.Our final destination is the exquisite Bab Ourika hotel, nestled in the stunning Ourika Valley. Unwind in luxury surrounded by breathtaking views and experience unparalleled Moroccan hospitality. Enriched Journey: Enjoy a series of captivating stops and activities along the way, transforming the drive into an unforgettable experience.

After breakfast, take a refreshing morning walk through the bird-filled hotel gardens. Embark on a leisurely 1.5-hour hike through the valley, offering opportunities to connect with local people, learn about their traditions, and spot wildlife like painted frogs and green woodpeckers. Continue the stroll to the local town and immerse yourself in the vibrant weekly market, brimming with local crafts, spices, and regional specialties.Your Expedition Leader will guide you further up the valley for a delightful lunch in a unique and scenic setting. Upon returning to Bab Ourika, the afternoon is yours to relax by the pool, explore the hotel's lush gardens, or indulge in a traditional hammam (Moroccan spa experience) with a scrub and massage before dinner.

Depart Ourika for a captivating exploration of Marrakech. Delve into the famed Medina, a labyrinthine maze of historic structures and world-renowned souks (markets). Discover hidden gems and explore the city's gardens beyond the bustling Medina. Free time is included for independent exploration and shopping to personalize your Marrakech experience. Rest and unwind at our centrally located Riad, a charming boutique hotel offering easy access to the Medina's highlights. Celebrate your Moroccan adventure with a top-notch farewell dinner on Day 13.

The next day, we'll transfer you to the airport for your departure flight home, or you can choose to continue your journey with our Coastal Morocco Extension program.
