Itinerary Overview

I was traveling Spain for 16 days and visited a few different cities. I started in Barcelona and finished in Madrid. I got around from each city by blabla car. Personally, it was very convenient because it did not cost much, and all the drives were really nice, I also had some time to practice my Spanish with them.

I enjoyed each city and each one had different things to offer. From Barcelona - Granada - Tarifa - Cádiz - Seville - Madrid.

Granada is mainly a city for views, the architecture there is very beautiful and there a lot of stunning view points. It also has a lot of nice coffee shops.

Tarifa and Cadiz is for the beaches. You can find yourself a nice beach and just relax, with a cool drink in your hand.

Seville is also a really beautiful city with beautiful buildings, you should visit “Maria Luisa park”- everything there looks like a painting. And last but not least, Madrid. For me it was one of my favorite cities with a lot of opportunities.

Madrid is a really good city for people who love the day, but also party at night.  The city has a lot what to offer from delicious coffee shops to bars and parties. I also really enjoyed the beautiful architecture and nice views.

If you are a breakfast lover like me, and like to start the day with a good boost of coffee, then you must visit the HanSo Café, or Café de la Luz. After enjoying the delicious food these places offer, the best thing would be is just to go for a walk and explore the beautiful city.

If you like interesting architecture and buildings, I would definitely recommend you to go and visit the glass palace, and also visit the Central pond in El Retiro Park. By then, you should be hungry again. If you are curving for a sweet snack, mistura ice cream is the place for you! Although the ice cream there looked really good, I wanted something sweeter and took the Nutella crepe, it was amazing!

I really like thrifting clothes and buying at second hand, and I was surprised to find out that there a lot of them in Madrid. I visited two stores- “Johnny and Velvet” and “Alphaville vintage shop” and found there really cute stuff. Overall, Madrid is a really cool place for young people who love the city and can suit for all different kind of persons.

Tarifa was my favorite place during my trip to Spain, I don’t know if it’s because of the people, or the nice beaches, maybe it’s because of the cheap wine, but for me it was the perfect summer vacation.

I slept in Ohana hostel during my stay and the owner was the nicest person! On the day we arrived he took the us to a local party with reggae songs and introduce us to all the people that are living in the area. If you are a backpacker that wants to meet new people this is definitely for you!

Even if you’re not a fish lover, you must try and eat at least one time at any restaurant there is, all of them are fresh and good.

There is also a really big fish market that you can go visit.

I don’t think there is one good place I would recommend to eat in, personally I would just walk around the town and sit at any place that looks nice to me, and I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
