Itinerary Overview
This trip was undertaken by two friends, with high expectations to know the old continent, so we started in Madrid, once we arrived at Adolfo Suarez-Barajas airport, we felt the excitement of visiting new and special places, a van picked us up, because we were going to a tour purchased in Falabella Colombia.
We settled in the hotel and despite the jetlag, we wanted to tour Madrid immediately, so we went to the Retiro Park, it was spring, so we had to wrap up warm, the weather was wonderful, very similar to Bogota to tell the truth, we were at the Puerta de Alcala, we continued walking through the beautiful streets of our first big city in the old continent and as it was late we decided to go to the hotel to change clothes and go partying, A friend met us at the Plaza de Sol, a few blocks from our hotel, we went to a neighborhood called Chueca, there is a special area of only LGBT bars, it was a very fun experience, because the bars of this type in Europe are the best, they do a show in the middle of the night, we could have a couple of drinks and a great cocktail.
After that great night out, the next day we went to the old Spanish capital, Toledo, it is a small city full of charm and culture, stone streets, old buildings, you will see a big square with the Holy Church Cathedral Primada de Toledo, right there we could have lunch in a very nice Restaurant called: Victor Sanchez-Beato, also before leaving the city we could marvel at a beautiful bridge that you can not miss and take a picture, it is a great place, teso if e recommend wearing comfortable shoes, because the streets can be cruel to your feet when walking for hours.
After these great days in Spain, we went to France, where we arrived directly to Paris, the city of love, we were very excited to arrive in France because we wanted to eat everything typical of this country, sweet macaroons. We arrived at night so we went directly to the hotel, we stayed at the Novotel about 30 minutes from the Eiffel Tower by metro, we rested and very early the next day we started touring the city by metro and walking, first we went to the Eiffel Tower, flagship monument of the city, it is simply wonderful, there we wanted to do something different, so we ate some typical crepres at Jardins Du Trocadero, and rode a carousel, it was a wonderful experience, I would repeat a thousand times.
