Itinerary Overview

I came to India flying from Frankfurt to Chandigarh with switching planes in Dheli in beginning of Septemer. From Chandigarh, I took an Uber to get from the airport to the bus stop in the middle of the night. I did not really immedialtely find the bus and was looking for quite a while to catch it finally last minute. Chaotic Indian cities... this bus took me on a very bumpy and curvy ride to Dharamsala, which is a city in the Himalaya of India. From there, I took a taxi further up the mountain (more bumpy), to a small village, named Bhagsu. My friend who was already in India before me was waiting in a restaurant called Raku's which sort of became one of my living rooms soon. There are various yoga schools in Bhagsu and we booked in advance with a school called Mahi yoga. For 4 weeks, we had a very tough schedule with practical and theoretical practice all day, 6 days a week. In our breaks and free time we enjoyed walking around the village, dringing coffee, eating cakes, and enjoying the great company of travellers from all over the world (lots of Israelis come to India). The vibe is incredibly relaxed and there are many long-term travelers and backpackers around that travel with no plans and finally get stuck, so did I - in a positive way and did not take my flight back after a month but stayed for almost 3. This little mountain village becomes home very fast with so many interesting people, ayurveda, yoga, ecstatic dances and many other spiritual practices and teachings. At night there are amazing musicians singing and playing in comfortable small restaurants and bars for donations. I fell in love with this place.
